I'm blessed to work with an INCREDIBLY talented Cover Artist: Megan from
Abuse of Reason and Art and she has an art show coming up at the summer. Travelling around Utah, she spreads the awesomeness of her work. I can't tell you how insanely talented she is with a camera, photoshop, and imagination.
Here are just a few of her great creations. :) I want to write books to match all these images they're just too beautiful.

These works are all for sale via her FB page or Devianart, and she does the most kickass covers--as seen above in my title page :)
To help her raise the funds for her festival, I'm spreading the word. If you want to help donate (from $1 to whatever you're comfortable with) Go here:

And now some notes from Megan. (You can read this at the link to donate.)
Greetings, humans! I’m Megan Kennedy, a writer and artist from Salt Lake City, Utah and owner of Abuse of Reason Art and Photography. I’ve been doing art for over ten years now, and have been given some amazing opportunities, including being published internationally and working with musicians and authors to achieve their dream project covers. Fans of the official Bioshock Facebook may recognize my work “Rapture”, which was featured there last year and has since become the best-selling print in my gallery.
For the last two years, I have participated in Craft Lake City, Utah’s second-largest arts festival, and each year has been more successful than the last. I feel my studio is on the cusp of a fantastic explosion into greatness I’ve only yet dreamed of, and I want to give it the rocket fuel it needs to make that happen.
Previous years at Craft Lake City, I’ve gone small with only a table set-up and a modest display. This year, with the festival expanding to two days, I want to upgrade to a booth and expanded print selection to draw the crowds in like never before. I’m also looking to be a part of the Urban Arts Festival as well this summer, which is expanding to the Gateway mall. My only obstacle to this goal is being a broke college student. I’m asking for your generous contributions to help me solidify Abuse of Reason Art as a business by investing in a stand-out festival presentation this year.

What This Campaign Will Fund:
- Print displays for the larger booth space: We are penny-pinching folk and will stretch every dollar contributed by exploring creative and non-traditional display options, such as old window shutters, magazine racks, etc., to be both budget-friendly and eye-catching for the festival.
- Prints: The majority of the contribution will be spent purchasing prints to sell. We will have a range of smaller sizes (4x6-11x14), as well as larger poster-sized prints, and hopefully even a canvas or two available for the festival public.
- Various business expenses: Business cards, plastic bags for print purchases, battery-operated lighting for the booth after dusk, clear bags and cardboard backing to protectively package prints, frames for the poster-sized prints, printing of signs/price tags, etc. This will also help us cover the entry and booth rental fees of the festivals.

What You Get:
For a $1 Contribution: You get a ginormous THANK YOU from AOR for your support of the arts. At the festivals, we will have printed a list of names of every donor, and any donation amount gets your name on that list for all the festival to see. Your name will also be entered in a drawing for an 18x20 print of “Rapture”.
For a $10 Contribution: Send us a photo of you, your mom, your dog, whoever, and we will zombify them!
For a $20 Contribution: We will send you a 4x6 print from the AOR Etsy Store, chosen and signed by the artist.
For a $25 Contribution: We will send you a 5x7 print from the AOR Etsy Store, chosen and signed by the artist.
For a $30 Contribution: We will send you an 8x10 from the AOR Etsy Store, chosen and signed by the artist.
For a $50 Contribution: We will send you an 11x14 print from the AOR Etsy Store, chosen and signed by the artist.
For a $100 Contribution: If you are in a band, an author, or have some other comparable project, I will do your cover art. My work has been commissioned internationally by musicians, indie authors, and publishers like Random House; I guarantee you professional quality work. You can find my portfolio at:
For a $150 Contribution, you have several choices: If you are in a band or an author, I will set up a photo shoot with you and provide you with promo pictures you can use on social media, show flyers, book jackets etc. If you’re SLC local and just need some traditional photos, we can also set up a photo session for anything you want! All options receive a CD with high-res copies of photos, with 10-15 edited, and full copyright release to print and post as you so desire.*
For a $200 Contribution: You will receive both promo photos AND cover art for your project. (SLC locals for photos)*
For a $300 Contribution: We will send you a gorgeous 26x26, ready-to-hang canvas print of your choice from the AOR Etsy Store: http://www.etsy.com/shop/AORArt
For a $500 Contribution: We will send you the 26x26 canvas of your choice, as well as certificate guaranteeing that the print you selected will NEVER be printed in large-format again. You will own the one and only copy of this print in wall-hangable size. (Only exclusion to this being “Rapture”, which has already been printed in large-format prior to this campaign.)
For a $1000 Contribution: I will work with you on a commission of your choice. You don’t have to be in a band or an author; any art you want to see done, I will work with you to create it. Once we create your dream work of art, we will send you a 26x26 canvas print of your commission. This work will NEVER be sold by me in ANY format; not on Etsy, not at festivals, never. It will be a one-and-only piece for you, generated from your beautiful brain.
*Please note: photoshoots are not included for residents outside of SLC. However, if you’re outside the area and willing to come to the Salt Lake Valley at your own expense, arrangements can be made.

The Impact
Contributions to this campaign will be far-reaching and felt long after this festival season is over. Displays purchased for the festivals can be re-used for years to come, allowing me to apply to bigger festivals without worrying about running with the big dogs on presentation. Prints that remain unsold after the festival will immediately be up for sale on my Etsy store, as well as becoming surplus inventory for future festivals, art galleries, etc., which will again enhance my reach to new audiences. Everything this campaign is funding will allow my business to run smoother and reach higher for months and years into the future.
Aside from the material impact, the exposure gained through this festival will obviously impact the growth of my business, and potentially expand my clientele of authors, musicians, etc., who come to me for commissioned work. The money I make from these commissions literally sustains my survival during the school semesters, allowing me freedom to pursue my education whole-heartily. Art is what I love doing, and I would be endlessly grateful if I were able to transform this business into something making enough to contribute to my family’s budget (beyond just surviving).
